Information architecture refers to the content organization, functionality, navigation, and usability of a web site.
Good information architecture ensures that data is clearly structured so that a user can easily find and manage information. The organized data is presented in SITEMAPS and WIREFRAMES. A sitemap is an overview of all the pages of a website and how they connect to each other, similar to a family tree. Wireframes are detailed views of each page of the site. They map out which elements go where and what sort of functionality is on each page.
Sitemaps and wireframes are incredibly useful tools for both designers and tech teams to work from. Rachael has done information architecture work for a variety of clients. Contact her for further information. ![]() ![]() |
